[Castlebar Airport] - Ireland/Connacht | World airports information

Castlebar Airport

Castlebar Airport, established in 1966 in Castlebar, Ireland, was initially a regional airport serving small aircraft with seating for 2 to 10 passengers. Spanning 13 acres, the airport grounds were once part of a farm belonging to St. Mary's Mental Hospital. It served as an important landmark for the community, attracting aviation enthusiasts and customers throughout the year. However, the site has since been repurposed and is now the premises of Monaghan & Sons Motors.
