The ANA Lounge is located at Kansai International Airport's Terminal 1 International Flights, near Gate 15 of the main building airside after immigration.
The operating hours for the ANA Lounge start from 6:00 AM, but the closing time varies depending on All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight schedules. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the lounge is open until 9:30 PM, while on other days of the week, it closes at 5:00 PM, presenting irregular hours.
ANA has fewer international flights departing from Kansai Airport, so its business hours are a little more difficult to use than other lounges.
Please note that if you use the ANA lounge with Priority Pass, there is a restriction that you can use it from 11am. If you have an early morning flight, you may not be allowed inside, so be careful when making your plans.
ANA lounge entrance
ANA LOUNGE entrance. Once inside, you'll find a reception counter, so present your boarding pass and Priority Pass to complete the procedures.
Free WIFI information and candy
Information about the free WIFI (the password is hidden in the photo, so check on-site) and candy are also placed next to the reception counter.
The entrance to the ANA Lounge also features the Osaka Expo's mascot MYAKU-MYAKU, reminding us that we are in the Kansai region (lol).
Inside the ANA lounge
Here is a look inside the ANA lounge. The inside of the lounge is horizontally long and narrow, with single-seater sofas lined up at appropriate intervals.
I expected there to be quite a lot of people using the popular All Nippon Airways business class lounge [ANA Lounge], but perhaps it was because of the time of day, it wasn't that crowded. It has a relaxing atmosphere typical of a lounge.
Area near dining
There were a lot of people using the area near the food and drink area of the ANA Lounge, and the seats were pretty full.
Reclining area where you can sit comfortably
There aren't that many people in the area a little far from the dining area. If you want to relax, a place a little further away from the dining area might be better.
The view of the airport outside the window
The view of the airport tarmac outside the window of the ANA lounge. You can see the apron of Gate 1 from the ANA lounge, but the runway is on the opposite side, so you can't see the planes taking off.
Sofa and side table
A side table is placed next to the sofa in the lounge seating area, and a USB port and power outlet (Japanese type A) are also available.
Smoking area
There is a smoking corner at the back of the ANA lounge.
Massage chair
There is also a massage chair located at the end of the lounge.
Call area
There is also a calling area that can be used for calls on mobile phones.
Flight schedule
Monitors for flight schedules are also installed in several locations in the lounge, so be sure to check the status of your flight at any time.
Magazine rack
On the magazine rack near the lounge entrance, there is also information about ANA's in-flight magazine [TSUBASA -GLOBAL WINGS-] and an e-library where you can read over 130 types of magazines and in-flight magazines for free.
Nowadays, you can download and view anything on your smartphone. But reading magazines on a smartphone screen is quite tiring, so I personally don't like it... (lol)
ANA lounge food and drink menu
Now, for what you've all been waiting for! Let's check out the food and drink menu available at the ANA Lounge.
As for the taste, being an airline lounge of a Japanese carrier, the food should appeal well to the Japanese palate. It's best not to set expectations too high, but if you're hungry, you should be satisfied.
ANA original blend
This is a corner with a coffee server and black and green tea. The coffee is an ANA original blend, and being able to enjoy coffee that can only be enjoyed in the ANA lounge is a great lounge experience.
Hot meal
Although the variety is small, they also offer hearty hot meals. When we visited, they had meatballs, simmered root vegetables, and pasta dishes.
Curry corner
Everyone's favorite curry is also available. Come to think of it, JAL's Sakura Lounge also has a special curry that is considered a specialty, and depending on the timing, it can be so popular that there is a line.
Also, this Japanese curry is popular not only with Japanese people but also with foreigners, so it may be that this Japanese curry is filled with an unfathomable deliciousness that is loved by everyone.
Onigiri corner
There is also a rice ball corner at the dining counter. At this time, there were three types: plum perilla, inari sushi, and wakame rice.
Bread corner
This is the bread corner. There were mini-sized croissants and milk chocolate bread that were easy to eat.
Alcohol corner
The alcohol corner has wine, whiskey, shochu, etc. In terms of variations, they seem to be focusing on Japanese whiskey and shochu.
Beer server / drink bar
Drink bar and beer server. There are two brands of beer servers: Ichiban Shibori and Asahi Super Dry. Both are Japanese beers that are mild and easy to drink.
Inside the refrigerator
The refrigerator also has salads, sandwiches, cheese, and sweets such as bite-sized cakes. Drinks include milk, tomato juice, and chilled liqueurs such as blackcurrant.
Summary of ANA lounges that can be used with Priority Pass
How was the ANA lounge on international flights at Kansai Airport, which you can use with Priority Pass?
ANA's business class lounge does not have showers and its opening hours are relatively short, making it a little difficult to use when taking early morning or late night flights.
However, if you time it right, you can enjoy snacks and drinks, so if you have a short wait for an international flight at Kansai Airport, I highly recommend giving it a try.
If you want to use this ANA lounge with Priority Pass, you can only use it after 11am. Also, if the lounge is crowded, you may not be able to use it, so keep that in mind. See you soon!
